No you don’t. All Photographers own copyright of their work by law unless they assign it to their client. You can buy copyright if that suits your needs but in 99.9% of cases it is not necessary.
Yes. So far the furthest i’ve travelled for work is to Rhode Island, USA and there is a trip planned in 2018 to the Caribbean. Mileage in Devon & Cornwall is charged at 45p per mile. The rate for the rest of the UK is 30p per mile and accommodation will need to be provided or paid for depending on where the shoot is. I have a base in Cardiff so if your project is nearer Cardiff than Truro, mileage is charged from there.
