I love Cardiff Bay at night, the reflections on the still water and the stunning modern architecture of the Millennium Centre building with its giant colourful lettering contrasts against the red brick of the Pierhead building which dates from the late 1800’s.
I took my Fuji X-Pro1 out for a wander around the Bay while my wife pounded the treadmill at PureGym! I’m always impressed with this camera’s quality especially in low light. All these images were shot at 2500 ISO on an aperture of f4 or f2.8 on the 27mm lens. The detail in the shadows from this little sensor and the lack of grain amaze me when I think back to my days of shooting evening football matches on film and seeing the grain like golf balls appear in the developing tray. How we’ve progressed!
I’m so excited about growing my business across the UK and look forward to meeting you all from Lands End to John O’Groats and all points between!

It’s summer and that means one thing, time to get stuck in to creating fresh images for my Holiday Resort clients! My shorts come out of hibernation and I clear out the half empty, out of date bottles of factor 50 from the bathroom cabinet, before setting off for long days at parks across Cornwall, […]
I’m so lucky to have so much variety in my work. Since the last column i’ve been shooting in Italy, The Isle of Wight and London, not to mention being flat out busy here in Cornwall for the rest of the time.
