
Light and airy is how I would describe ‘Cherrytrees’, one of www.johnbraycornishholidays.co.uk cottages in Rock.
I photographed the interior in the summer when natural light flooded all the rooms although additional lighting was needed to balance the interior and exterior. I hope that it looks as if it wasn’t lit at all, that’s my aim! As always, the brief was to show the rooms as they are so guests get a good idea of what they will find when they arrive on holiday and to shoot a few details as well which makes the rooms cosy and inviting.

The brief was to shoot two elements; the huddlebox which was in a dark area used for VR testing. This needed a little subtle lighting to lift the darker areas out of shadow and separate them from the dark background.
