I’ve had the great pleasure of working with some of the great food suppliers in Cornwall over the last few weeks. I didn’t realise how diverse the food offering is in the county until I was asked to photograph some of them!
Food and Drink Cornwall is a UK Community Renewal Fund and Cornwall Council funded project to help producers in Cornwall to grow. The project gives food and drink producers access to expert consultants and a market leading business evaluation process to all them to invest their time in the most appropriate areas of the business.
The project runs from January 2022 to June 2022 and has helped over 60 businesses to move their businesses forward. I’ve been helping with documenting this process, capturing the people, processes and products that have formed the back bone of Food and Drink Cornwall. Those clients have also been able to take part in a Food Fair at Eden Project and a wider participation conference to help shape the future of support for the sector.
Here are a handful of portraits captured at the Food and drink fair recently.

Chef Michael Caines has taken over at the Cove at Maenporth, Falmouth. I spent a few frenetic hours shooting as much food, portraits and details as I possibly could to get some images for the new website which goes live this week (16th March).
I’m so lucky to have so much variety in my work. Since the last column i’ve been shooting in Italy, The Isle of Wight and London, not to mention being flat out busy here in Cornwall for the rest of the time.
